What is the Flint Student Ambassador Program?

The mission of the Flint Student Ambassador Program is to develop and empower student leaders who promote ethical AI adoption, foster independent learning, and drive educational transformation in their communities.

Students can join the Flint Student Ambassador Program at two achievement levels, each offering distinct recognition and opportunities:

  1. Flint Student Representatives—Join our selective cohort and gain access to exclusive networking opportunities, professional development resources, and recognition on Flint's official platforms.

  2. Flint Student Ambassadors—Complete our comprehensive program requirements to earn an official certificate of achievement, limited-edition Flint merchandise, and eligibility for the prestigious Flint Student Ambassador of the Year award with scholarship funding.

Admission is granted on a rolling basis. Applicants should be entering or currently in high school/secondary education, though special cases may be considered for students outside this age range. For representatives:

  • Consideration for the Student Ambassador of the Year distinction

For Student Ambassadors of the Year:

Becoming a Student Representative

To be considered for the 2025-26 student representatives cohort, please fill out the following form. The form asks for some simple information about you and written statements about your experience with and ambitions for using Flint.

Admissions are granted on a rolling basis. Joining the cohort gives you connections to other cohort members and the Flint team to complete the requirements necessary to become an official Flint Student Ambassador.

Becoming a Student Ambassador

To become a full-fledged Flint Ambassador, students must complete 4 key tasks to demonstrate understanding of AI, proper and creative usage of Flint, and proactive advocacy in their community. The requirements are as follows:

  1. Must complete the AI Literacy for Students course (must pass the quiz)

  2. Pick one Flint usage task:

    • Create 5 different activities for yourself and write reflections on the process of creating, refining, and using them (must vary in topic covered and method of learning used)

    • Create 3 different activities for your peers or teachers to use and write reflections on that process

  3. Pick two proactive advocacy tasks:

    • Present about Flint within your school (to either teachers or fellow students)

    • Present about Flint to the broader community (through Flint campfires, Flint podcast, social media, or other opportunities like hackathons or conferences)

    • Write a guest post for the Flint Blog (minimum 600 words)

    • Lead or found an AI- or otherwise technology-related club and share about Flint

Once you have completed any or all of the requirements, please submit evidence of them to the Flint team via the following form. The second page of the checklist above and the form itself have more details on how to record this evidence and share it with our team.

For each year you complete these tasks, you will receive a certificate of completion. Students who obtain the Flint Student Ambassador title by May 31st will be considered for that year's Student Scholar of the Year Distinction. Each student is eligible to earn the Student of the Year Distinction more than once and is considered for all years that they complete the tasks.

Becoming a Student Ambassador of the Year

Every year, the Flint team will award outstanding ambassadors with a Student Ambassador of the Year distinction. Our team awards top student leaders who best exemplify the mission of the Student Ambassador Program. A great way to increase your chances is to complete more of the tasks outlined above in the "Becoming a Student Ambassador" section.

To qualify, students must become an official Flint Student Ambassador before midnight on May 31st of that year. Honorees will be announced the following week.
