How Quiz Me works
Tell Sparky what you're studying
Add your notes, a study guide or a photo of a textbook page, or type the topic, like "the causes of World War I". With only a topic, Sparky may ask your grade or what the test covers first.
Answer one question at a time
Sparky asks one question and waits for your answer. Some are multiple choice or true or false. Others ask you to explain an idea in your own words.
Get a hint, then try again
When you miss one, Sparky gives a hint or a simpler question and lets you try again. Later questions come back to the ideas you missed.

Your notes and slides
Attach a PDF, a Word file or slides, or import them from Google Drive or OneDrive. The questions come from what you add.
A photo of the page
Take a photo of your notes, a worksheet or a textbook page. Sparky reads the text in the photo and quizzes you on it.
Any kind of question
Multiple choice, true or false, short answer, or explaining an idea back. Ask for one kind only, like "only multiple choice, like my test".
Math and science
Sparky checks math with a calculator and writes equations properly, so you can practice solving problems as well as recalling facts.
Out loud
Press the microphone to speak your answer, and press Listen under Sparky's question to hear it read aloud.
A practice test to print
Ask Sparky to put the questions in a document you can print, or save to Google Docs or Word.
Ways students use it
Before a unit test
Add the unit's notes or study guide. Sparky covers each topic, then spends longer on the ones you miss.
Vocabulary
Paste your word list for Spanish, French, biology or the SAT. Sparky asks one word at a time and comes back to the ones you miss.
AP exam review
Name the course and the unit. Sparky asks questions in the style of the exam and explains the reasoning after you answer.
A chapter you just read
Attach the chapter or name the book. Sparky checks that you followed what happened and why it matters.
Data privacy
Your work stays private
What happens to the notes you upload and what you write in Flint.
Not used to train AI
Student data in Flint is never used to train AI models.
Not shared
Flint does not share student data, or any other user data, with third parties.
Kept separate
Each school's data is kept apart from every other school's, and the AI providers Flint runs on can't reach it.
Signed agreements, on request
Flint signs a data processing agreement with any school that needs one, written to US state law and EU GDPR.

Is Quiz Me free?
Yes, Quiz Me is free for students. Sign in at app.flintk12.com with your school Google or Microsoft account, or with your school email.
Can it quiz me on my own notes?
Yes. Attach a PDF, a Word file, slides or a link, take a photo of your notes, or import a file from Google Drive or OneDrive. Sparky writes the questions from what you add, so they use your class's words and examples.
Does it just tell me the answer?
No. Sparky waits for your answer first. When you miss one, it gives you a hint or a simpler question and lets you try again.
Can I get a practice test I can print?
Yes. Ask Sparky to put the questions in a document. You can print it, save it to Google Drive as a Google Doc, or download it as a Word file. For a PDF, press Print and choose Save as PDF.
How is it different from flashcards?
A flashcard shows you the answer and you judge yourself. Quiz Me reads your answer and replies to it, with a hint when you miss. If you'd rather flip cards, ask Sparky for flashcards in the same chat. To compare study apps, see Quizlet alternatives compared.
